Decker Family Reunion

Decker Family Reunion
Date: Saturday, 9 June 2007
Time: ALL DAY
Place: At the Big Pavillion in Constitution Park in Cumberland, Maryland.

It should be lots of fun. There is a water park on the premises that is inexpensive. It presently consists of about four generations of extended family and hoping to get bigger. All cousins, aunts and uncles are invited, but we are trying to get a head count. The reunion is set up as a buffet, so everyone is expected to bring a dish if at all possible.

A new reason for the reunion is to keep tabs on the family history. We are trying to compile a more complete and accurate genealogy for all of the related families. Everyone is asked to please bring any information that they can in relation to the families, including pictures, documents, trees or stories. There will be a few copies of the present compilation available with a few of the pictures collected. One copy is always set aside for edits so the next year's copy is more likely to be correct.

We are trying to contact the following families from the area: Decker, Cline, Root, Cross, Stallings, Nazelrod, and all other related families. The connectors for the past reunions are William Blair Decker and Esther Mae Root.

My wife has Decker ancestry, from Auserstedt in Prussia. Where are yours from?

Doing genealogy is such a rewarding hobby. Best of luck to you with yours.

Contacting all members from The Rav. Bridge Project.

It's cold here in Central Ohio and the need to push for more donations, more helping hands is great. More people are living in the cold under the bridge.

Asking those who've donated before to help again, those who joined but didn't donate to please get fingers busy with hook or needles. Asking all to help spread the word by posting about the group and it's need on their blogs, to post team badge to help spread the word.

Will be closing the Rav. group that hasn't been active communications wise in a couple of weeks. Compiling a active list of members.

Can we count on your helping hands? Please hop over to the blog and let me know. I'll add your blog to the list of team members.

Many thanks
Sandy
