Kerry Michael
By Sophia Marx (Momma)

A beautiful shining light.
We should have known you would not be long in our world.
Your laughter, your giggles, your too old eyes.
You loved the outdoors, the flowers, the butterflies, the sun, the rain.
All you ever wanted to do was play and learn.
You loved to run, and swing, and climb, and build.
A daredevil of the best sort.
Strong as an ox and smart as a whip.
You touched the hearts of everyone and made them love you with your sheer perfection.
You will be especially missed by your family.
Grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles.
Momma, Daddy, Blair, Brianna and Casey.
Your teachers, and friends and the staff from school.
Their parents and grandparents too.
Where you have now been accepted, you will be surrounded by family too.
Great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.
You will also have the joy of being the first to meet your big sister whose soul was taken before she could even be born.
Please tell her about us. She should be waiting with Aunt Cathy. Aunt Cathy said she would keep her safe.
One day we will all be together again. Please remember us and our overwhelming love.
You will forever be missed. My little lost love.

Our Sorrow - Catherine Ann Decker Holden

To our great sorrow, we acknowledge the passing of our sister and friend Catherine Ann Decker Holden. Born 11 July 1962, she died only 2 short months before her 45th birthday on 16 April 2007. Her untimely end was due to heart failure as a complication of juvenile diabetes. We will all miss her. She is survived by her parents, Chap and Carol Wrobel Decker, her brothers Bo and Chris Decker, her grandmother, Ruth Sonnenleiter Wrobel, assorted aunts and uncles, 2 daughters, 5 nephews and 1 niece.

Decker Family Reunion

Decker Family Reunion
Date: Saturday, 9 June 2007
Time: ALL DAY
Place: At the Big Pavillion in Constitution Park in Cumberland, Maryland.

It should be lots of fun. There is a water park on the premises that is inexpensive. It presently consists of about four generations of extended family and hoping to get bigger. All cousins, aunts and uncles are invited, but we are trying to get a head count. The reunion is set up as a buffet, so everyone is expected to bring a dish if at all possible.

A new reason for the reunion is to keep tabs on the family history. We are trying to compile a more complete and accurate genealogy for all of the related families. Everyone is asked to please bring any information that they can in relation to the families, including pictures, documents, trees or stories. There will be a few copies of the present compilation available with a few of the pictures collected. One copy is always set aside for edits so the next year's copy is more likely to be correct.

We are trying to contact the following families from the area: Decker, Cline, Root, Cross, Stallings, Nazelrod, and all other related families. The connectors for the past reunions are William Blair Decker and Esther Mae Root.
